About Ms. Boyd
I would like to be the first to officially welcome you to Broad Street Elementary School! I am very excited for the opportunity to be a part of a community where we can work together to build something special to serve students. I love the community vibe in Butler. I’m looking forward to learning how I can best serve individuals in the community.
I believe in taking a collaborative approach to education. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to connecting with parents and the community for the ultimate success of the students. I also really enjoy working with colleagues to cultivate an eager work environment and foster strong relationships both in and outside of the school community.

Prior to coming to Butler, I was the Community Schools Site Manager at Community Schools Pittsburgh Milliones University Prep 6-12. I also previously served as an Enrollment Director at the K12 Educational Company, a Blended Mathematics Teacher at Hill House Passport Academy Charter School, a Student Affairs Liaison and Mathematics Teacher at Career Connections Charter High School and an Instructional Facilitator for the Beaver Area Academic Charter School Cyber Program.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in biology at Megar Evers College and my Master of Arts in education from University of Phoenix and my PA School Principal Certification K-12 from Point Park University.
I am very excited about the upcoming 2021-2022 school year and I hope you are too. There's a lot of good work to be done at Butler and I cannot wait to get started. Together, I believe we can create a space where all our students can achieve success in a joyful environment.
