Broad Street Scholars Explore History Through Canoe Design

Fifth grade scholars in Miss Giancola’s and Mrs. Kasanicky’s classes at Broad Street Elementary School have been hard at work creating their own canoes as part of their Social Studies unit. Using only tape, glue, cardboard, and popsicle sticks, students designed and built canoes to learn about how different Native American communities used canoes throughout history.
